Arts Council England Selection
Arts Council England commissioned AxisWeb to curate an exhibition on the first floor of its national office at Great Peter Street in London. Staff from Arts Council England selected nine works, which were installed in July 2010 and remained on show into 2011.
Axisweb wanted to reflect the diversity of work being produced around the country and selected nine artists from their arts directory, from which they established an online vote.
Arts Council staff were asked to curate the exhibition by selecting artworks from each of the nine English regions. The selected work was installed, for an 18-month period, at the Council’s Great Peter Street, London, headquarters.
The piece selected by Axisweb and Arts Council staff from Andrew Pepper is Cut Column, based on an earlier holographic monoprint, Centre Column, produced in 1989 and now held in the Würth Collection, Germany.
