Paintings by Olive Mayo and work by Andy Pepper
University of Nottingham Adult Education Centre
21 March – 7 April 1978
The first public exhibition by Andrew Pepper while studying for a Fine Art degree at Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham (now Nottingham Trent University).
He was undertaking the third year of his degree, and the drawings on show became the starting point for his later work processing and manipulating projected light.
This two-person show included system paintings by Olive Mayo and structural graphic drawings on paper, acetate, and Perspex constructions by Andrew Pepper.
They were both studying on the same course and influenced each other through their overlap in approach and methodology.
