Gallery floor installation with two dichromate gelatine holograms supported by a wooden wedge.
The physical wedge, which lifts the glass plate slightly above the floor, is also recorded within the holographic volume. Both cast a shadow: one is part of the holographic recording, and the other is created by illumination within the gallery space.
A graphic representation of the wedge, made entirely of lines of light, overlaps its holographic image.
First exhibited in Art in Holography: Light, Space & Time at the Aveiro City Museum, Portugal, in 2018.
Also shown in the NAE Open 2022, Nottingham, UK.
