Drawology
Bringing together the work of several artists with differing practices, Drawology considers whether drawing can be defined as a specific process or genre, or whether it extends more broadly across artistic practice.
In this respect, the works in the exhibition represent an expanded field of contemporary drawing within a Fine Art context, including works on paper, performance, moving image, installation, projection and three-dimensional drawing.
The exhibition formed part of a larger research project undertaken by Deborah Harty, entitled Drawing is phenomenology.
Andrew Pepper showed PA Redrawn-Line. Based on ealier floor-based work, it was made up of 20 small rectangular holograms of drawn-like marks.
