Part of a series of textural investigations, this work uses the flat shadow of liquid marks to produce a \u2018drawn\u2019 texture displayed in front of the holographic plate.<\/p>\n
\u2028It is optically difficult for an observer to perceive the holographic texture as being suspended in front of the picture plane, which causes it to appear flat on the surface of the \u2018corner\u2019.\u2028<\/p>\n
Because of this optical anomaly, as an observer moves past the piece, the textures \u2018shift\u2019, displaying a subtle kinetic effect.<\/p>\n
